As the year draws to a close, this workshop invites us to slow down and notice what is already here. We’ll explore the practice of gratitude through simplicity, abundance, and reciprocity—considering what it means to have enough, to recognize what sustains us, and to trust that we are enough.
Our physical exploration will center on Camel Pose, using supported variations and backbending practices to explore opening through the heart, chest, and front body. We’ll work with breath, alignment, and mindful preparation to build both physical and embodied awareness, discovering how we can create space without forcing or striving.
Beyond the physical practice, we’ll reflect on gratitude as an embodied practice rather than simply an attitude or habit. How does shifting our attention toward appreciation affect the way we experience ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us? How might gratitude become a practice of reciprocity—one that invites us not only to notice what we receive, but to consider what we have to offer?
We’ll draw inspiration from Indigenous scholar and author Robin Wall Kimmerer’s question: “What do you have an abundance of, and how will you share it?” Together, we’ll explore how gratitude can help us recognize abundance in simplicity, cultivate connection, and move into the next season with greater warmth and generosity.
Wherever you are in your practice, you’re welcome here. Please bring water, any additional items that support your personal practice, and a journal if you’d like to reflect.
