Downtown Bangor is for everybody, whether you’re 1 or 100. There are ample opportunities for the littlest folks to the grownups that are with them to have fun all year long! Downtown Bangor’s beautiful community gardens, grassy parks, interesting architecture, and beautiful public art make it a wonderful place for families to enjoy unstructured time together.

Downtown Bangor has plenty of family-friendly places to shop, including a beloved independent bookstore, a toy store, bakeries, arcades, and many retail locations have goods that delight the child in all of us! In addition, the Bangor YMCA, Maine Discovery Museum, and Bangor Public Library are wonderful stops for the entire family.

Tie-Dye Party

Children and Teens, join us for an afternoon of t-shirts and tie-dye. Colors will be red, white and blue themed! Grades K – 12 Supplies will be provided but it is encouraged for participants to bring your own white t-shirt (plain or designed are both acceptable)

Bouncing Baby Story Time

Summer Music Series – PanStorm

Rain date: Thursday, July 2, 6 pm. PanStorm is a community steel band based in the Bangor area. They play weekly at a park in Bangor through the summer as well as festivals and parades. Their mission is to spread unbridled joy to everyone through steelpan music, the happiest music in the world.
