The University of Maine Cooperative Extension is partnering with the Maine Beef Producers Association, The Mitchell Center, and the National Pork Board to host a Youth Swine and Cattle AI Clinic in the Cross Center at the Bangor State Fair on July 24th and 25th, 2025.
Thursday- July 24, 2025 – 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM – Swine AI Training – Cross Center where the livestock are being shown
Friday- July 25th – 9:00 AM – Noon – Cattle AI Training – Cross Center where the livestock are being shown.
Kids will receive hands on training in heat detection, semen handling, AI technique, and anatomy and physiology using our new cattle and swine AI Simulators and reproductive tracts generously donated by the University of Maine Mitchell Center, Bangor State Fair, and the National Pork Board.
Our instructors will guide you through getting started in cattle and swine Artificial Insemination.
