World Cyanotype Day is Saturday, September 27
Join Poplin Fabric & Haberdashery for a workshop to learn about the cyanotype process and make your own prints on fabric to take home! A local fine artist working in cyanotype will be here to guide you through this alternative photography technique. There will be a variety of objects here to make your prints but please bring anything else you wish! Ideas include leaves or plant cutting, lace, feathers, cut out letters or shapes.
Learning objectives include:
- An overview of the preparation process
- How cyanotypes work and the printing process
- Make several 11 x 14 inch prints on fabric to take with you
Rain or shine! We are equipped if the sun is not out.
All materials are included in the fee. Class size limited to 8 people.
The workshop will be led by local cyanotype artist @ninamakesthings – visit her account and website to view her stunning work! She will also have a preview of her work up for showing the following week October First Friday Art Walk. We are thrilled to have her here as the featured artist and excited to offer you this unique, fun, hands-on class! Sign up in person or online on our website.
