Adulting 101 – Plan, Prep, Preheat: How to Feed Yourself on a Budget

Adulting 101 Food Budget FB

Everyone needs to eat, but it can feel like a real chore some days, doubly so if you’re eating on a budget (and who isn’t?). This session is designed to bring some joy, and ease, into your everyday life by focusing on meal planning, picking recipes, reusing ingredients, saving money every time you shop, and stocking and making the most of those staple ingredients. We’re moving beyond canned beans and ramen packages here, though we may include those ingredients in a glow up recipe.

This workshop is designed to accommodate a wide range of cooking skills and interests. So, whether you’re new to cooking and can barely make toast or if you make your own sourdough bread, there’s something for everyone. This event will be co-presented with Mary LaVanway, RDN,LD,CEDRD, a Dietitian from Hannaford. Mary will show us how to make nutritious meals on a budget and will demo one during class!

Participants will leave with: meal planning template, a few easy recipes, a pantry staples list, and resources list to keep you inspired on your meal planning journey.

While this series is crafted with ages 18-30 in mind, all ages are welcome to attend.

Registration isn’t required to attend, but those that register will receive email reminders about the event.
