March to the beat of your own parody in this 1-mile stroll through the ’80s—and Weird Al’s greatest hits in this Weird Walkin’ Wednesday “The 80s Al Amble.”

Weird Walkin’ Wednesdays are an excuse to dress up, have fun, get outside, raise a little ruckus, and walk a mile in the process. Everyone’s welcome to walk, roll, or stroll together. Costumes are encouraged but are optional, there’s no fee, and it won’t even take the whole lunch hour!

How to participate:

1. Put on your 80’s throwback duds, or toss on your favorite Hawaiian shirt and trim up your mustache as an homage to the king of 80’s parody songs, Weird Al Yankovic. Go ahead and bring that accordion! (Need inspiration? There is, remarkably, a whole Pinterest board dedicated to looking like Weird Al!)

2. Meet in West Market Square at noon April 23

3. Walk a one-mile route together

4. Dance a little celebration polka

5. Disperse in good cheer
