Join us for the closing reception for our Community Portraits project.
Twelve portraits from Robert Shetterly’s Americans Who Tell the Truth collection will be added to our What is a Maine Story? Community Portraits exhibit. Some Shetterly portrait subjects or people connected to them will join us this afternoon. We’re keeping the names a secret for now. Stop in to view the posters in the Stairwell Gallery to guess whose portraits will take their place.
Artists, both students and adults, will also have work on display. Artists include community members and students at 14th Street School, Fruit Street School, Fairmount School, Brewer High School, and Bangor High School.
A guide to some of Bangor Public Library’s collection of portraits that are on display throughout the Library will be available.
At 2:30 PM a short presentation will take place in the Lecture Hall.
