You can expect over 100 Maine-based artists and vendors, a College Art Tent, live music and plenty of food and drink options all on Harlow, Franklin, and Central Streets in Downtown Bangor. This is a wonderful opportunity to shop for unique items from our jury-selected artists from all across the state while enjoying Downtown Bangor in the summer!

Bangor Historical Society Walking Tours
Explore Bangor’s rich, surprising history on our guided walking tours, where passionate storytellers share little-known tales of lumber barons, naval disasters, infamous residents, and hidden symbolism—from the city’s historic downtown to the sweeping vistas of Mount Hope Cemetery, one of America’s oldest garden cemeteries.

The Maine Savings Amphitheater, set along Bangor’s scenic waterfront, is the largest concert venue north of Boston—an open-air amphitheater that seats nearly 17,000 and hosts some of the biggest names in music and comedy. Towering over 40 feet from stage to lawn, it’s a major cultural and economic force in Maine, with 2025 acts including Avril Lavigne, Def Leppard, Coheed and Cambria, Old Dominion, Halsey, and more.


Held on the first Friday of each month, Downtown Bangor’s First Friday Art Walks are lively, volunteer-led celebrations of local art, music, and performance—featuring ever-changing exhibits and events hosted by shops, galleries, and restaurants throughout the historic arts and commerce district.
PanStorm Concert Series
PanStorm is a Bangor-based community steel band on a mission to spread unbridled joy through the vibrant sounds of steelpan—the happiest music in the world. Catch them playing weekly in West Market Square throughout summer 2025, as well as at local festivals and parades.
