About Late Kompany

Under the creative direction of Kyle Tardy, we are a dynamic, multi-talented performance troupe blending acting, singing, dancing, animation, pantomime, and puppetry—often enhanced with music, projection, and visual effects. Each show is a unique mix of creativity and community spirit. We partner with local organizations to offer performances as fundraising opportunities, supported through community sponsorships. Our mission is simple: use the performing arts to strengthen and celebrate a healthier, more inclusive community. We believe in compassion, creativity, and connection—championing humane, sustainable, and educational values that uplift people, animals, and the environment alike.

We never charge performance fees—only modest stipends to help cover rehearsal and production expenses. All donations collected at events go directly to the host organization.

About Founder & Artistic Director Kyle Tardy

Kyle Tardy grew up in a musical family and began his entertainment career after earning an AS in Business Management/Administration. He spent a decade performing with Walt Disney Entertainment in Orlando, appearing in over 1,500 shows and events. He later worked at Universal Studios Florida as a soundstage manager for Halloween Horror Nights and as a Stage Manager for Universal Entertainment Operations. Kyle has since expanded his work to choreography, “choralography,” stage animation, and venue management for a variety of performance groups. Beyond the arts, he has devoted over 15 years to social services, special education, and crisis intervention training, along with experience in restaurant, retail, and HR leadership. Kyle lives in Bangor with his husband, Mike, and their dogs, Dashy and Beau, and is passionate about showcasing the region’s talented performers while supporting local organizations. (Fun fact: Kyle was one of nine featured dancers in Snap!’s 1992 “Rhythm Is a Dancer” music video!)
