Ring in the new year with a community celebration in the heart of the city – Downtown Bangor! Spend your afternoon enjoying food and drink specials, activities for families, music, entertainment, dancing, and parties throughout Downtown Bangor before gathering just before midnight in Pickering Square for the dropping of the big, bright, Bangor beachball!
We have an awesome line up of events for Downtown Countdown celebrants of all ages culminating in the BIGGEST ball drop Bangor, and we dare say, Maine has seen!
This year the ball will be dropping off the Pickering Square Garage with some major upgrades thanks to The Law Office of Hunter Tzovarras! Bangor’s own DJ ICE GHO$T will boost spirits before and after the countdown and the celebration comes with an extra festive blast thanks to confetti cannons provided by Waterfront Concerts. (Eco-friendly water-soluble confetti will be used during the 2024 Downtown Countdown.)
As a DUI lawyer, Hunter encourages celebrants to plan responsibly on New Year’s Eve so they can spend more time celebrating and less time coping with the challenges that come with an OUI charge. Everyone should have a plan for how to end their night safely and get the new year off to a good start!
