Hollywood Casino is announcing the headliners for the inaugural Bangor Comedy Festival. Jimmy Cash and Ray Harrington will each headline one night of the festival, which is set for October 23 and 24 in the Lancaster Room at Hollywood Casino.
Be part of history as we launch the first-ever Bangor Comedy Festival, a weekend dedicated to stand-up comedy, comedy education, and unforgettable live entertainment. Featuring nationally touring comedians, local talent, comedy workshops, and late-night events, this inaugural festival brings two full days of laughs to the Queen City.
Whether you’re a lifelong comedy fan, an aspiring comedian, or simply looking for a unique weekend experience, the First Bangor Comedy Festival offers something for everyone.
Ray Harrington has performed around the world, earning acclaim for his irreverent stand-up and quick improvisational style. Harrington is a native Mainer and Husson University / NESCom alum who has appeared on Conan and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. His documentary BE A MAN won the LA Comedy Festival before premiering on Hulu. His comedy albums have topped the Amazon, iTunes and Billboard comedy charts, and he was previously named Best Comedian by the Providence Phoenix and a finalist in the Boston Comedy Festival. Harrington will be headlining the Bangor Comedy Festival on Friday, Oct. 23.
Boston-based comedian Jimmy Cash brings a distinctive perspective to the stage, drawing material from more than 20 years as an elementary school janitor, fatherhood and long-term sobriety. A nationally touring headliner with a large social media following, Cash has performed alongside comedians including Bill Burr and Shane Gillis and spent several years as an opener for Bob Marley. His viral videos have been featured by Barstool Sports and The Today Show, and he recently sold out Boston’s legendary Wilbur Theatre. Cash will be headlining night two of the Bangor Comedy Festival on Saturday, Oct. 24.
In addition to the headliners, the Bangor Comedy Festival will feature a group of young comedians performing a “graduation show” following their Intro to Stand Up Comedy Class, a joke writing workshop, and late night offerings of adult-themed comedy and a roast battle.
