BHS Presents: Steven King’s “IT” (2017 Adaptation) in Mount Hope Cemetery

Bangor Historical Society’s annual Movie Night at Mount Hope Cemetery is almost here!


Join us on Wednesday, August 19 (Rain Date: Thursday, August 20) for this year’s featured film, Stephen King’s It (2017). The movie is shown on the field adjacent to the historic burial grounds, creating one of Maine’s most unique outdoor movie experiences. Guests are to enter through the 1048 State Street gate to Mount Hope Cemetery, all other gates will be locked.


Movie Ticket: $15
Movie begins at 7:45pm.
Optional Guided Mount Hope Cemetery Tour: $10
The guided tour begins at 6:45pm, and is limited to 40 guests. Tickets sell fast.


Member Presale: Monday, July 21 at 12:00 p.m.
Public Sales: Wednesday, July 23 at 12:00 p.m.


Gates open at 6pm.

Parking will be available at United Technologies Center (UTC) with complimentary shuttle service to and from Mount Hope Cemetery beginning at 6:00pm, show begins at 7:45pm. There will be a drop off and pick up area outside of the main 1048 State Street gate to the cemetery.

We will have concessions for purchase.


What to Bring: Lawn chairs or blankets for seating.


*No outside food or drinks.
*No coolers or large backpacks allowed.
*To ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for all guests, the use of alcohol, tobacco products, vaping devices, cannabis, or any illegal drugs is strictly prohibited in Mount Hope Cemetery. Those found in violation will be removed from the movie with no refunds!
