The nonprofit Bangor Beautiful and the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce are bringing a major new community mural to the heart of downtown Bangor. Maine artist Rachel Gloria Adams will transform the large exterior wall at 2 Hammond Street with a 3-story mural incorporating Bangor-inspired patterns created by local artists, Juliana Cantreli, Nina Earley, Annette Dodd, Karen Nichols, and Carile Deshane. Installation is expected to begin mid September, with a community celebration planned for September 26th 4pm to 6pm at 2 Hammond Street.
The Celebration on September 26th will be free to attend! There will be food trucks, fun, and so much more!
