SUMMARY:The Bangor Waterfront - a Jane's Walk event
DESCRIPTION:This walking tour will focus on Bangor’s waterfront\, high
 lighting the areas downriver from the Kenduskeag Stream’s entrance int
 o the Penobscot River. We will use old pictures showing what buildings a
 nd industries once occupied the area and talk about the transformation i
 nto what we see today. Throughout the walk\, we will be discussing Jane 
 Jacob’s life\, her work\, and how many of her ideas are seen in Bangor
  today. Wear comfortable shoes and dress weather appropriate. Water is e
 ncouraged. The walk stays on the city sidewalks.\n\n\n\nLeading the walk
  will be local historians and city planners/officials to help provide in
 sight into the buildings\, people\, and the changes that this part of th
 e city has seen over the years. We hope that the takeaways from this wal
 k will increase awareness of Bangor’s history as well as past and futu
 re city planning.\n\n\n\nQuestions can be directed to curator@bangorhist
