SUMMARY:Technology Workshop: Identifying Frauds &amp\; Scams
DESCRIPTION:The National Digital Equity Center (NDEC) and the Bangor Pub
 lic Library will co-sponsor a free workshop\, "Identifying Frauds &amp\;
  Scams\," on Tuesday\, December 9 from 2:00-3:00 PM in the library's Com
 puter Lab\, taught by Nina Fearon\, Digital Navigator for Penobscot Coun
 ty.\n\n\n\nLearn about the different types of internet fraud and scams\,
  the do's and don’t's of protecting yourself online\, and what to do i
 f you have experienced online fraud or abuse. Participants do not need t
 heir own device to participate\, though you are welcome to bring one or 
 to use one of the library's laptops.\n\n\n\nAll workshops are free of ch
 arge to Maine residents\, but space is limited\, so registration is requ
 ired to attend. To register for all this class\, fill out the form on th
 e NDEC website or call Nina for assistance at (207) 825-2540.\n\n\n\nThe
  National Digital Equity Center provides communities at all levels the e
 xpertise needed to mobilize broadband technologies through digital inclu
 sion\, literacy efforts\, education\, resource planning\, funding resear
 ch\, infrastructure leveraging and stakeholder engagement. NDEC provides
