DESCRIPTION:Bangor Public Library is partnering with Orono Public Librar
 y and the Maine Library Association to bring a private\, pre-release scr
 eening of the new documentary\, Banned Together: The Fight Against Censo
 rship to the Bangor area. The film will be screened at the Orono Peformi
 ng Arts Center at Orono High School.  Tickets are FREE and can be reserv
 ed here.\n\nBanned Together follows three young women during their senio
 r year of high school as they fight hostile community members and school
  board officials to reinstate these banned books.  We witness their evol
 ution from local to national activists as they advocate at school board 
 meetings\, sit down with national politicians\, famous authors and const
 itutional scholars\, and ultimately\, speak on stage at the Right to Rea
 d Rally during the American Library Association’s annual conference in
  Chicago.\n\nThe Orono Performing Arts Center is located at 14 Goodridge
  Dr\, Orono\, ME 04473 and ample free parking is available near the entr
 ance. The OPAC entrance is located on the backside of the high school be
 tween the school and the sports fields.
