DESCRIPTION:Join the library on Tuesday\, Oct. 29 from 2-4 PM for a tech
 nology workshop\, "Coding Crash Course: HTML &amp\; CSS" taught by Jayso
 n Vanidestine. This course is meant for anyone\, regardless of skill lev
 el\, whether you want to learn a brand new skill or just need a refreshe
 r. Jayson will cover the absolute basics of how to program in HTML and C
 SS\, the language of the internet. Students will learn how to structure 
 an HTML file and how to apply a "fresh coat of paint" using CSS files.\n
 \nBasic coding languages are in high demand\, whether you want to build 
 your own website for fun or seek a job in the software industry. You can
  make coding a hobby\, a career\, or just use it as a resume builder - t
 hat is the point of programming\; to create the path from point A\, to p
 oint B! You will learn not only how the front end of websites work\, but
  also what makes the magic happen behind the scenes.\n\nJayson Vanidesti
 ne has been programming since high-school at UTC in Bangor\, and all the
  way through University of Maine\, Orono\, where he earned his Bachelor'
 s Degree in New Media. He is programmer at heart and a jack of all trade
 s in the world of game development. He hopes his passion for the trade w
 ill copy/paste itself to his students!\n\nThe library offers regular tec
 hnology workshops on different subjects. All workshops are free of charg
 e\, but space is limited\, so registration is required to attend\, using
  the form below. Attendance is available both in-person and online via Z
 oom. Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptop computer or d
 evice if they have one they want to learn on\, or use one of the library
 ’s computers if not.
