DESCRIPTION:The Bangor Public Library and the University of Maine Cooper
 ative Extension invite the public to a free horticultural talk featuring
  plants for winter interest.\n\n\n\nThis informative session\, led by Ka
 te Garland\, UMaine Extension Horticulture Professional\, will focus on 
 fall planting techniques that help create a vibrant\, year-round landsca
 pe. Participants will learn why early fall is the perfect time to plant 
 trees\, shrubs\, and perennials and how to enhance their garden's winter
  appeal with vibrant stems\, ornamental grasses\, and plants with colorf
 ul berries.\n\n\n\nPre-registration is preferred. Registered participant
 s will receive a follow-up email with additional resources to help with 
 their planting and landscaping efforts. The event is free and open to th
