 ts. Perched on the edge of the Maine North Woods and a one-time importan
 t harbor\, Bangor’s history is filled with tales of lumber barons who 
 struck it rich from her natural resources as well as shipping magnates a
 nd manufacturing pioneers. The Best of Bangor tells the stories of our f
 irst settlers\, the greatest disaster in U.S. Naval History (until Pearl
  Harbor)\, the British Occupation during the War of 1812\, the Great Fir
 e of 1911 and so much more.\n\n\n\nThis tour meets at the Bangor Histori
 cal Society/Thomas A. Hill House\, 159 Union Street\, Bangor.Tickets are
  $12 per person.\n\n\n\nIn case of inclement weather\, tours will be can
 celled if chance of thunderstorms\, but not if just rain in forecast.\n\
 n\n\nTickets must be purchased ahead of time.Tickets may be purchased fo
 r a 6PM until Noon on the day of the tour. Tickets may be purchased for 
 a 10AM tour until 6PM the previous evening. \n\n\n\nTo purchase tickets
