  for the Arts\, Orono\, ME\n\nThe Wabanaki Winter Market is New Englandâ
 €™s largest holiday gathering of Wabanaki artists. This annual event fea
 tures artists who have received national awards\, as well as new artists
  representing the next generation of weavers.\n\nThe event provides the 
 public with an opportunity to purchase Wabanaki art directly from the ar
 tists and to learn about these ancient traditions.\n\nJoin the Hudson Mu
 seum for a day that will showcase one-of-a-kind art forms (basketry\, be
 adwork\, wood carving\, birchbark items)\, and maple syrup as well as de
 monstrations\, storytelling\, traditional music\, drumming and dancing. 
 Something for everyone!\n\nThis year’s Friends of the Hudson Museum ra
 ffle basket was made by Kenny Keezer\, Passamaquoddy.  Tickets will be a
 vailable for purchase at the market.\n\nThe Hudson Museum will be open d
 uring the event\, and visitors are encouraged to explore the Wabanaki Ga
 llery where they can view the work of the ancestors of the contemporary 
 artists.\n\nThe Wabanaki Winter Market is FREE and open to the public.\n
